About Bangkok

I have been meaning to update my blog for awhile, but am the frantic throes of trying to finish my capstone project (details of which I will post when I am finished), attending millions of meetings, and leading a few workshops at primary schools (hooray!).

In between the piles of work I’m meant to be doing, I’m still finding time to do some traveling and enjoying my time in Singapore. Even though I have been here for 6 months, there are so many things I haven’t seen.

I recently had my birthday and decided to go an adventure to celebrate it, so I spent the first week of July in Bangkok. I had a fantastic time exploring the city and taking side trips with my friend Hannah to the River Kwai and nearby floating markets.

Loved it.

One of the most compelling things about Bangkok is the Thai people – warm, friendly, and courteous. I met many people during my travels who went out of their way to provide directions, a smile, and recommendations for a good place to eat.

I will definitely travel there again.

I will be back in the United States on 7 August. It’s hard for me to fathom my experience in Singapore is coming to an end, but in some ways, it’s just beginning.

Here are some photos from my trip to Bangkok:
